The Roundtable is a select group of representatives from large firms invited by the Foundation to be members. Membership represents a strong commitment to advancing gender parity and demonstrates the firm’s leadership role in inspiring positive change. The goal of the Roundtable, like that of the Foundation, is to promote the visibility of women’s contributions and expand historical knowledge and critical recognition of their work. By reshaping the discourse on the role of women in the design of the built environment, the Roundtable members can stimulate cultural change and insure a vibrant future for women. To spark creative diversity, young women need to be encouraged to enter – and then helped to thrive in – the architecture and engineering professions.
To help advance this agenda, the Roundtable meets during the year where the Roundtable members and BWAF can exchange knowledge under the guidance of a professional facilitators.
Roundtable News is a section of the BWAF Briefly newsletter about relevant women’s and gender equity issues and is published three times a year.
